Raquel “Raq-C” Cordova was born  in Artesia, CA on June 28, 1982 to a middle class Salvadorian family and raised in the small town of Rubidoux in Riverside, CA. If there is one word to describe Raquel...it is ENERGY; in every sense of the word.

Raquel began her radio career as an intern at another LA based radio station, while attending Rio Hondo College in Whittier.  She quickly realized that Radio was something she felt passionate about and wanted to further pursue. As a DJ Raquel is doing what she loves-TALKING! She is able to infect Los Angeles with her energy every afternoon and touch the lives of many, many young Latinos who often have no direction or role models.

Raquel’s career has taken her to work in Palm Springs and Chicago, both far from home and family, and at a young age that was no easy decision!! Yet she has embraced every experience so far as a learning opportunity and has stayed focused on the positive, knowing that all of the hard work she puts in now will definitely pay off in the future. To hear her tell it…if she is able to inspire and help young Latinos everywhere with their self esteem, image and serve as a positive role model teaching them by example “que si se puede” then all her sacrifice is well worth it.  She brings a smile to many Angelinos, young and old, who tune in daily to get their daily dose of RAQ-C Mon-Fri 3-7pm!
